The Burning (1981).

A cult slasher classic, one of my favorites! i can't wait for it to come out on DVD this fall in a special edition.

whats it about?

The only thing about "The Burning" is that the thing is so damn slow. 45 minutes in and not a single death!

BUT, once it gets going it really delivers. It has some top Savini gore and easily one of THE finest sequences in any Slasher film ever. Nice score too.

Is it sad if I liked the dialogue areas more than the deaths?

It's my fav slasher flick. The score is awesome cropsy is 1 mean S.o.B.

I saw it recently and it was actually pretty decent.
The music was good and I liked the beginning a lot.

I wonder what you thought of the original 'Halloween'?

I re-watched it, and was less critical.

It's not so bad. Can't say it's my favorite, but it's not the worst.
