Well the people who are openly bi/gay who inhabit the games forum are Peach, CC Cowgirl!, and me, all being bi. I do know of others who told me they are bi/gay, but will not reveal who because they may not be open about it.

That's barely even touching the insult category in comparison to some of the things you have to put up with 😛 You learn to deal with it and merely brush it away.

True enough. Lemme say, though, I feel atleast a bit of your pain, being an open Christian. In modern times, it's an easy way to attract people trying to 'disprove' your beliefs. Also, there's the stigma attatched to it that we're all illogical gay-haters or something... We're not.

I can't say it can be compared (Not that one is worse than the other), since sexuality and religion are two quite different things.

And the "few ruining it for the many" occurance is something I'm far too familiar with 😛

Not comparing it, just noting stigma comes from both. =P

Truthfully, I find it stupid to be offended by the word ******. In the way people tend to use it here, it is not even a homosexual slur, it is more like "retard" or "idiot" in the way it is typically used(here, I mean).

Eh, I find being offended by words in general to be sort of an iffy concept. This is teh interwebz.

"This is the internet" is not a free pass to act like a complete idiot...you don't have the freedom to say whatever you want.

Also, there are some words that are offensive, and the context really doesn't matter. This is neither a new nor strange concept, so I'll never understand why people think it is.

The context makes all the difference.

If someone were to call me a ****** because I was bisexual, I would be more offended than I would be if they thought I was an idiot.

Although really, I'm not really offended by it when people say it because I'm bisexual either to be honest. I do not really care what people(Especially idiots) think of me.

Really, if anything I'd just be disappointed in their lack of creativty when it came to insulting people. I'm only really offended by actions people take. Words = meh.
