Only three Southern accents?

Lol bullshit.

unless you want me to start categorizing black southern accents too... but that could take all day.

What's wrong with my third definition?

It's a false, prejudiced opinion, that's all.

I've lived in the south forever... there is nothing prejudiced about it... I know this place. I think you may be taking offense... but I understand. I hate when people judge the south according to some preconceived notions that are given to them by the media or just stupid stereotypes in general. However, i freakin live here...

Not sure who I should believe then. You who live there, or the encyclopedia.

Me, cause the encyclopedia is boring. I'm pro... at SSBB that is. Also the encyclopedia doesn't have this awesome sig. So there's that.

I have lived in the south all my life, and even when traveling to other states never left the south.

My father is for all intents and purposes, a redneck, his entire family is country.

You are wrong.

Do the white-trash, dumbass rednecks you described exist? Of course they do.

But they are not as easily picked out as you make it seem, nor are there only three variations of a southern accent.

You're by blood a redneck? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Encyclopedia is pretty much where I draw most of the things I don't come across by personal experience. You could almost say I sleep with it ๐Ÿ˜› Of course, I have no idea why I said this.

I guess...

ok... this was just a generic summary... you guys are srsbzns. Discussions on the South and southern culture are best left to when I'm not as lazy as I am right now. I understand where you're coming from though. The South is too often categorized wrongly.

You asked what's not to like. I replied with everything about it. There's absolutely nothing I like about country music ๐Ÿ˜›

I hope we can agree that Country > cRap at least.

In Lyrics, yes. In music, no.

Don't really see why to be honest but alright. ๐Ÿ˜›

And some Rap is good. Not every rapper is like Li' Wayne or Souljafag.

One of my most favored country singers is self-defined redneck ๐Ÿ˜› So yeah, you're pulled into the Q'Anilia maelstrom of coolness.

Music? Oh you mean 'dem phat beats' or what have you? Most of that makes me feel queasy. Too guttural, I hate it.

I'm no country fan but the music is soothing generally at least.

Hip Hop whether the ill intentioned mainstream cRap that openly celebrates and indulges in retardation or the purported intelligent and thought provoking 'underground' stuff, just sounds trashy to me period.

And I live in Atlanta so its hard to escape.

yeah there are a sparse amount of rappers worth listening to, they are out there. You just have to look real hard.

Admittedly there is one country song that I do absolutely love...

"The Devil went down to Georgia"

Love that song... but that's about it for country.

Needs better music to go along with the pretty good lyrics.
