It's hard for people to accept the fact that a series with more than ten games is getting owned by a series with only three.

As Cyner said, Sin, it's not smash boards, it's actually a well organised site with matches requested by users and then posted by the admin. A discussion occurs, and the winner recieves the FP award.

This site believes, clearly, that Link > Kratos. It fills me with glee to know the internet is not entirely devoid of Link supporters.

My sneezing during an orgasm post was deemed less important than an urge to declare that Link being better than Kratos is false, when in actuality it is truth.

link is pretty lame but kratos is even worse so its alright.

Rare is the character that doesn't fit nice and neatly into one of the predefined archetypes we find in every form of entertainment imaginable. I think that's why they allow Link to be silent during the game, you can fill in the open void with your own way of viewing the character. If you think that much about it anyway...

They were probably like "Link gets triforce, the end" or "Link casts spell, the end" I doubt they've discussed it as deeply as it has been discussed here... but if it has... that's scary.

Kratos isn't evil and for Legend of Zelda, it's pretty much the same plot in each game. ZOMG, Zelda has been kidnapped! Ganondorf wants the triforce! Link must go through a long journey that includes pain in the puzzles and long mazes and to spice it up, lets have an annoying fairy that won't shut up. Hooray, Link has the master sword and shield. Link fights Ganondorf. Ganondorf dies. THE END. In the next LoZ, the same thing!

Also, you've only played OoT, I'm guessing? The plot switches up quite a lot from Zelda to Zelda. Ofcourse the games are similar, but we've all seen what happens when you screw with a good thing.

erm, kind of but not really... I guess it's the same base story "bad guy wants ultimate power and to take over the world" but starting with ALttP onward the series stories and events(but not characters) have a lot of differences and depth to them. You should play the Oracle games, especially Oracle of Ages. The games are just very well done and the stories are great.
