I hate ostrich's. They attempted to peck at me for some reason. Stupid birds. That experience was almost worse than that time I got injured by a llama. Animals just plain hate me. It's like that time in Family Guy where Death walked into that pet store and all the animals got so worked up because he was there.

Then in MM, there's this horrible theme of "you can't save everyone".
If you save Kafei and Anju's marriage, Romani is abducted, if you save Romani, the spirits of Darmani and co are never healed, if you heal their spirits, the monkey is tortured, if you save the monkey... So on and so forth.
For me it was the Bremen mask that helped. Marching around with animals following was win.
But man. That game was so depressing. The freezing Gorons, the child who loses his father, the father who loses his child, LuLu's lost eggs, Mikau's friends having no idea he's even dead. Godamn man. Nintendo really wanted to make you feel horrible.
