man. im tired of gay people.theyre all over tv. people treat homosexuality like its like a fad to be gay now. "hey do you want this show to cater to young, hip, progressive white people? put a gay person in it! Yayyy!"
But in srsness, I've noticed that too. ๐ Would be less grating if the gay person wasn't always a stereotype.

Edit: it doesn't help when people continue to perpetuate stupid stereotypes.

I agree. I'm getting sick (although I got sick of it as soon as I first saw it) of gay people appearing in a bunch of friggin shows. There's a gay sailor in Venture Bros. which just halfly ruined the series for me, and a gay guy in almost every show comedy-related. I get it already, gay people have high pitched voices, they mostly wear a pink shirt, they act like major sissies, most of them have jobs as fashion designers, a lot of them join the NAVY, and they have 0% interest in women (even if they look tomboyish). I get it already, enough with it. As if I didn't like gays enough, now they're trying to turn my television homosexual which isn't funny.

Here's where I tell you most actual gays are just like straight people, and you totally missed the point.

Post it once, it has effect. Post it twice or more, it gets old.
You guys may not believe me when I tell you this but I used to had a friend who was gay (and yes, I was aware he was gay). We used to hang out during each class period and he never did anything strange around me but as the school years passed, I noticed he was trying to hit on me. Several awkward moments later, I went and avoided him the rest of the school year and after that year, I went to high school and never saw him again thank god.

If there are lesbians who act "lesbiany" on-screen, it's fine with me ๐.

I know they're stereotyping but a gay person is still a gay person. Even if most don't act like what I just listed, they still disturb me, even if they act like everyday straight folk.
Do you have some sort of extra sensitive gaydar that tells you a person who is "acting straight" is really gay?
Because by your statement, you'd feel disturbed even if you were around someone who 'acted straight' & never knew they were gay.
