How powerful does everyone think the HarryPotterverse is? I'd say for the threads we do, almost useless. A lot of no limit stuff. Like insta-death curse.
It clearly has a limit, cause Harry survived. ๐Ÿ˜› But yeah, HPverse would get rapestomped by most gaming verses.

Insta death curses get pwnt by love, apparently.

But then they can do weird shit like matter transfiguration, creating life, and soul splitting.

Yeah, not to mention having some sort of grudge against physics.

Bears will overrun us all. Not only can they rip your face off with less effort than it takes to push out a fart, they can learn kung-fu

But nobody likes physics.

I mean, I understand and tolerate it, but sometimes the laws of physics just suck.

You scraped your knee a lot as a child, eh?

My favorite mammalian carnivore by far.

And for some reason I find this commercial hilarious.

Tigers can kill elephants. Trufax.

Not directly. Injuring its trunk until it can no longer feed or drink.

YouTube video

hilarious, yet frightening.

Neh, there's apparently some account of a tiger spending several hours to kill an elephant. Will see if I can find it.

I've read it already.

"Though other jungle inhabitants seldom interfere with an elephant, a hungry tiger will not hesitate to attack a solitary animal. The tiger will never let go an opportunity to prey upon calves and juveniles. J.C. Daniel in his book, The Asian Elephant, gives a number of recorded instances of tiger predating even upon full-grown elephants."

I understand your distaste for physics then. ๐Ÿ˜›

But yeah, apparently there's several instances of tigers taking down adult elephants.

Extenuating circumstances if they happened at all, not to mention they are often from early 20th century accounts that aren't fully trustworthy as embellishing existed in tons of them.

Like I said the one seemingly believable account I read had one eventually die of starvation after its trunk was mangled.

30 lions weren't able to take down one female elephant on Nat Geo, how likely is one tiger to do the job? Not at all likely.

6) Tiger kills mother, baby elephant
2006-11-23 - BHUBANESWAR, India
"It was a fight that even surprised the Forest officials of Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR). A duel between a tiger and an elephant in which the big cat prevailed. The tiger reserve rarely has witnessed such incidents in the past although tigers are known to kill elephant calves. Every year, two or three calves are hunted by the tigers in the reserve."

Read that before. Don't put so much trust into such a scantly detailed account.

Like I said, extenuating circumstances if it happened as they described at all. Sick, injured mother, whatever have you.

The tiger would need an excruciatingly long time to dig deep enough to do fatal damage with its tiny weaponry relative to the elephant's size.

I can't find the Nat Geo vid of a whole pride(FAR larger than any normal sized pride) of lions barely getting a female elephant down for her to only will herself back up and run away, but I'm sure you've seen it.
