1) Americans do not make anime/manga.

2) Hentai is drawn or animated, and hence is not real. And hence is not generally considered child porn/pedo because it's easy for the artists to claim they are overage. It may be problematic stuff, but being as it's drawn and not real, it's not anywhere near being the same as stuff that exploits actual kids.

3) There are tons and tons of places that sell anime/manga stuff every day. Try just about every single book or video store. Not to mention the fact that most larger cities have Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc. districts which will have stores that carry manga/manwha, bookstores like Kinokuniya and Sanseido (I miss our Kinokuniya, Sanseido is awesome but much smaller), shops that specialize in just anime-related items, and conventions. Which are everywhere.
