Depends on the Zelda game.OoT is better than Fable technically, though the replay value for me of the first Fable was amazingly awesome.
Also Quan, OoT is not hard... You just really suck. ๐ I beat that game when I was seven or eight.
Cyner, you'd better visit me in Florida boi.

You are out of your mind. ๐ฌ There's no reason you should have spent more than 12 hours on anything, not even the Water Temple. So now I REALLY want to know what you got stuck on. You also made the mistake of playing Twilight Princess before OoT.I knew this about you already. But please don't say Zelda games are for kids when that just plain isn't true.
The characters are Japanese? That is the weirdest complaint ever. Please expand on this, because I don't see it and I have never heard it before.

Depends on what you like in a game.

Ok.... I wasn't gonna help u, but it just makes me wonder what part you could be stuck in that would take up 12 hrs... I'm sorry, but that's just pathetic.Zelda games are my fav. series, and OoT is probably my fav game., but I'd have to say that Fable was better due to the time periods. Any xbox game can kick a 64 game's ass. More memory for them to put stuff in. Fable had better graphics, more abilities, sidequests, longer game, etc. than OoT. It really just depends on what you like in a game. I like OoT better, but Fable was a better game.
When I eventually beat it I'll fill everyone in on what I missed or what it was I hadn't thought of.

What names, exactly, are Japanese? A few are just transliterated romaji, but for the most part, no, names in Zelda are not Japanese at all.
Also, OoT is very much not an open-ended game.

Kakariko sounds Japanese because it follows Japanese syllable patterns. It is not a Japanese name/word, though. Nor are Kokiri, Gerudo, or any of the other names that 'sound' Japanese in the game. They are all for the most part just, as I said, transliterated Romaji.
And as far as I recall, there is nothing in the game that you can miss that you actually need to use. And if you do miss stuff like that, it just means you're not exploring fully like you should be.

I also can't think of any Japanese names in the entire game.
Link, Ganondorf, Zelda, Saria, Darunia, Ruto, Impa, Nabooru, ect, all sound like fantasy names to me. The mask salesman is a minority of the cast, and I can't recall an Asian old man.
OoT is probably my favourite game of all time, btw. And I am not alone. ๐

I didn't really expect anyone to agree with me about my criticisms of the series either just my own observations which tend to turn me off.

Twilight PRincess is probably the easiest game in the series, Quan, just FYI. OoT is better than TP in pretty much every aspect, imho, and the fact there was some level of difficulty was awesome.I also can't think of any Japanese names in the entire game.

OOT is a good game and I can see why others like it so much but my preferences are different is all.
All people love extended gameplay from side missions(except those ones involving fetching crap from the other ends of the gamescape or having to destroy a certain amount of monsters). It what makes the game feel longer and not only that it gives players items to help with the man quest. Can you imagine a mmo with out side quest, or what about games like GTA and Infamous that relie on it for their game length.
Originally posted by MooCowofJusticeNo, that isn't a bad thing at all I just don't see how I could have missed what I needed to be at where I am. I stormed through most of the game rather quickly and hit a wall.
So you dislike Zelda for extra optional gameplay in an open world? Not mocking you or anything, just making sure.
Well, I did it. I just ordered fables 1 and 2 from the microsoft store so this means i have to get an xbox 360. I hope I don't regret this purchase. I went into gamestop today and they said they no longer sell fable 1 and the employee who worked there says most games on both systems usually have better graphics on the xbox than the ps3. That shocked me but who knows if this is an accurate statement or not.

It's because even though the PS3 is more powerful, the 360 has better anti-aliasing, and that makes a big difference in the quality of the graphics, imo.

If you up for WRPGs, Get Mass effect 1 & 2 and stay the hell way from Alpha Protocol unless you want to make a vid on how bad the AI is.

It is an accurate statement. Even now, most games have identical graphics on the two systems, or the 360 has a slight edge.
