Actually, it technically is.
I'm not gonna call that sh*t music, man.
One definition of music in the dictionary is "an agreeable sound". I don't think that screaming is agreeable, and to anyone who thinks that it is, I invite you to let me scream at you and see what you think of my "music".
I legitimately lol'd.

Saw it as a link on facebook. So who would the boss there be? Washington Khan?
So uh.
I was watching a video of a male stripper performing for a group of women. Because that is what I do in my free time. Watch male strippers perform for women.
And uh, I kinda noticed women seem to beat the HELL out of their strippers. ๐
Like they were smacking him and even punching him, and one just stood up and applied her knee with the quickness to his crotch, while he was in underwear. You could hear his pain. ๐
Stopped watching after this, am scurred to continue.

"Nominally" and "technically" are incredibly different things.I would say that "Screamo" is nominally music, but technically is not.
It mostly has its roots in hardcore punk and emo, in its most basic definition it is hardcore emo.

Nope, sorry. The concept of genre is entirely artificial, and is a name used to group similar things together in the collective consciousness. Therefore, "Screamo" is a genre made up of similar dissonant noises, only nominally music.
The concept of a genre is entirely artificial? Artificial as in made by man?
Sure, I guess so, not that that means anything at all. In the context of music a genre is characterized as having a particular style or form.
Although that is also irrelevant to the point at hand.
While Screamo is certainly not "agreeable to the ears," as one definition defines music (Though I hear some silly kids actually like Screamo, hard to believe really), it is also "organized sound," in that it is ordered in succession and combination.
Now I may admittedly be wrong to do this, but I assume that Screamo "artists" organize the songs they write to some extent, however badly it may be done.
