Ah, if you don't really like the SC games, then I guess you wouldn't enjoy Chaos Theory a whole lot. Though you could give Conviction a try I suppose.

Which ones?

Anyone here ever get friendly with themselves in a public place?

Why would you do that in a public place in the first place.

You're bored? And there is some sick, demented humor in it?

I bought Hitman: Blood Money, Alone in the Dark and Burnout: Dominator from the local store cause they were pretty cheap.

I got 5 games with the PlayStation GTA 3, Max Payne 2, Prisoner of War, MIB and a Rainbow Six game.

Then I got a 11 games on in a pack on ebay which included MGS2, MGS3, Dragonball Z Budokai 2, Need for Speed Carbon, Need for Speed Underground, Pro Evolution Soccer 5, Rachet and Clanck 3, Smackdown vs. Raw, Spiderman 3, Tekken 4, Splinter Cell - Pandora Tomorrow.

Then I got Okami on ebay, which was the most expensive game I got at like 20 euros.

And I supplemented the selection with the following games I got from Amazon cause I really wanted them: God of War, God of War 2, Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time, Prince of Persia - The Two Throne, Prince of Persia - Warrior Within, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy X.

Nice set of games. If you wanna go a bit more retro, look for Killer7. Really quirky but very, very fun game from the mind that gave us No More Heroes. I've heard God Hand is exceptionally fun as well, now that I think about it.

Myself, I'm considering getting Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. I've read GoW/DMC combat, SotC boss battles, and Uncharted 2 platforming. Along with a 20 hour story and high replay value, that seems pretty appealing. Anyone have it so they can fill me in?

Ultimate SpiderMan, The Punisher, Killer7, Onimusha, Mafia, GTA San Andreas, GTA Liberty City Stories, GTA: Vice City, Silent Hill 2, Resident Evil 4, Psi Ops, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, We Love Katamari, Katamari Damacy, Lego Star Wars, Bully, Burnout 3: Takedown for example.

Yeah, Killer 7 sounds awesome, I have yet to play No More Heroes, I don't buy games that are younger than at least two years on account of being incredibly stingy, my girlfriend on the other hands wants the games she wants on release day.

The new Castlevania sounds quite good, I'll probably download the demo, I think I saw it advertised on my PS3 (perhaps it was just a video though, not sure)

Are those games you have and want to sell, or ones you would want to buy? I'd definitely want to buy/keep most of those games if I were in your shoes.

Also, screw Takedown, get Burnout: Revenge.

Oh lol, you meant which ones do I want to sell. I was thinking Prisoner of War, MIB, Rainbow Six, Need for Speed Carbon, Need for Speed Underground, Tekken 4 and Splinter Cell - Pandora Tomorrow.

Why do you prefer Revenge?

I agree with your choices. Also, if you are a PC gamer, get Mafia for the PC. I think it was worse on the PS2

It's a more polished version of Takedown? Takedown's awesome, but Revenge is more or less Takedown with improved graphics and sound effects, extra shit like checking same way traffic & vertical takedowns, and a better/revamped Crash Mode.

Takedown's extremely awesome & it reinvented the series, which is why I rate it as a better game than Revenge. But seeing as Revenge basically upgraded on Takedown, I'd prefer to play Revenge. Though Takedown had a 'Free-Ride' mode...

I actually played Mafia on the PC when it initially came out. I don't have a gaming PC anymore though and I'd like to replay it if I can find it in a bargain bin somewhere.

Hmm, thanks I'll probably get Revenge then.

And man I can't wayt for Shadow of the Colossus to come out on the PS3.

I have not heard of this myself, is it going to have special new features or just a graphics overhaul?

It says HD, 3D and Trophies, so I don't think any story or gameplay is going to be changed.

And it comes bundled with Ico.

Hopefully ICO is the Japan/PAL version with all the stuff they took out of the original. American ICO essentially had all replay value surgically removed from it.

The ICO/SotC collection will probably help me justify a PS3 when I eventually do so. Which is a bit amusing, because The Last Guardian is one of the few PS3 exclusives to actually have my attention (with LittleBigPlanet and Heavy Rain).

Do both you and Lana have a 360?

Yeah, we both do. I've got an Elite S, and I think she has a Pro.

The plan is to sell one toward a PS3 when we decide the system's worth getting.

I just learned that you can't actually put videos you recorded from either Halo 3 or Reach online unless you get Bungie Pro which costs 750 microsoft points. Costs money just to share clips with the Bungie community. Gay!

Yeah, that's what I thought might help.

I'm not very happy about the tendency lately to squeeze every last cent out of a game. It feels like it thinks of the player more as a wallet.

I guess it works for them so far...still sad

Gets paid for going to school.
