I know they killed Chewie, but didn't he die in like a big explosion? Here it was awful. Just awful.

That doesn't mean they had to make you do twenty minutes of it, or any of it. It also doesn't make it any better.

If Red Dead Redemption is bad, then Super Mario Galaxy 2 sucks @$$. I'm sure we don't want that now do we?
1. Lol, an ultimatum. Like you have control over the opinions on SMG2.
2. Your opinion sucks.
3. I haven't even played SMG2.

If you like horror games, Alan Wake is great both as an honest homage and an affectionate parody. The episodic feels is done flawlessly and really helps to draw you into the story, especially when things start moving in time loops and the game blurs the line between real and fiction. Play it only at night, of course. There are some quality jump scares and subtle horror at the same time.

The gameplay is third-person shooter, a lot like Resident Evil 4. The levels are well-designed with multiple paths and different solutions to most of the puzzles, and the sound design does a good job of maintaining tension. Enemies are smart and attack in groups, ammo and battery pickups are strictly scripted and tend to keep you on the verge of running out, if not running out completely.
Basically, if you want a horror shooter with great mechanics and a well-told story (namely, if you aren't Blax), Alan Wake is a great game.
Worst Narrator ever.
