There might be a couple of factors you would want to consider, which is why I'm linking you to, what I believe, is an idiot-proof article.
Since you say you likely won't be hardcore gaming, I guess you could go with an LCD TV, or an LED LCD TV, which has a better display quality than the tradition LCD TV.
Plasma TV's are better than LED's in terms of display quality though. It also has a refresh rate that shits all over current LCD refresh rate.

Fortunately, I was smart enough to make backup files. Still had to build it back to where it was, though.

Well Alliance is pretty fun. I need to get someone I can play it regularly with though.

I still haven't played anything but Wanted. I have zero interest in the other modes so it'll probably stay that way.

Just earned Templar vision... that'll help with all the Morph spam I see.

Poison spam is the one that's pissing me off.

I've yet to use Templar Vision, and I've only used Morph once.
