Realistically, relics tended to be things like the knuckles of saints. Often more knuckles than said saint could actually have, as the relic business was pretty lucrative then. A church with "the finger of St. Stephen" would attract a lot of pilgrims, so they'd be willing to pay top coin for such.
"Pieces of the True Cross" were also popular relics.
