It seems as though most of them can shape shift.

Just completed my first playthrough of Mass Effect 2.

Initial thoughts are that it's a pretty awesome game, and it will prolly improve with subsequent playthroughs

And when I buy that damn Cerberus Network and Wrex stops being a dead jerkass. :l

Subsequent playthroughs only made me realize the game was incredibly linear and that the first playhrough only gives you the allusion that your choices have any impact. 🙁

Last time I made certain choices, people died. That's some pretty good impact if you ask me.

The only impact you have in the game is on the ending, and that is limited to you purposely making the wrong choice as to what team member you assign to each role or don't, or not completing the companion side quests.
