NO! MOTHER****ER! You will NOT ruin Demon's Souls for me! How ****ing DARE you share the same opinion as ME!?

No but seriously, I agree. I also love the setting.

DS is awesome, and Dark Souls will be even awesomer

Dark Souls promises to be even harder.

What equipment do you gaiz use?

At the moment I am wearing the full Ancient King armour set, have a White Bow, Tower Shield, and alternate between Istarelle, an ossim spear, and Northern Regalia as my melee weapons. I often wear Brushwood Armour when a bit more defense will serve me, or when I wanna pretend I am Biorr.

Time to change topic to a story from high school. Joy

I once had a math teacher whom I will name David for simple reasons. David was a new teacher for the school as the former teacher climbed his way up the ladder and became a vice-principle. David was an odd man to say the least, had an awkward voice, and used poor posture while speaking/standing. He was not a very commanding presence in the classroom and thus fellow students of mine proceeded to abuse him mentally for teh lulz. I myself did not have a problem with him until he forcefully took my DS from me while I was playing Pokemon. Shit got personal then.

However, some students were more understanding of his position than others. While they used his classroom to skip other classes, they were in general really nice to him. They got him a 360 and some games for it as a gesture of kindness. One game they played was Call of Duty. Now, David had already gone through some stress from the students, details of which I won't reveal because I dun feel like it. It all came to a head when David and some of his students were talking about Call of Duty one day. He told the students something along the lines of, "I'm gonna get on there and kill 500 of ya." Unfortunately for him, a group of girls overheard and completely misunderstood, and proceeded to inform the principal that David said he was going to shoot 500 hundred students. David was taken to Court and thus his life has been hell since.

What is the moral of the story?

I also wear ancient king, its balance between decent protection and agility are a godsense. Cant remember what weapon I use. I only completed the game twice so my stats would not allow me to wear Brushwood without slowing down a bit.

Indeed, Ancient King is really good.

I can wear full-Brushwood because I basically built my character to be an impregnable tank.

Who do you think was the hardest boss?

I would say it is definitely Old King Allant.

Hm I would agree, was that the boss who could drain you of a level or something if he got you with that move? I think he required me to be on top form, some of the bosses I could sort of relax with like the monk and the storm king but Old king allant and on later difficulties flame lurker could be a problem. I thought maneater was nasty as well, one was enough for me ๐Ÿ™‚

I used the fire attack w/e it was called a lot so being a bit of a sorceror the faster enemies with good long range attacks or an ability to get close fast were the most dangerous, I often combined the "shield spell" you get from Tower knights soul combined with some fiery death to bring down enemies so those weak to fire were easiest.

You need to change to a new school. Your current one is broken.

Yeah, see, my build was good for taking down big bosses that I could deliver punishment on using the Dragon Bone Smasher or Northern Regalia on, but Old King Allant, Flamelurker, and Maneater are all lightning bruiser type bosses, hit really hard, but also really fast, whereas I was slow. Maneater during my first playthrough was not that bad, mostly because I killed the shit out of the first one before the second one made it to me, but I was unable to do that on NG+ so had to use taktikz. Flamelurker I am sorta proud of myself for. I was an incredible boss and accidently used the Dragon Longsword, which does fire damage, against him the first time, and won. 131 Second playthrough he was harder though. And Old King Allant is liek egftsdgs. And yeah, he drained you of a soul level with a grab. But beyond that, he was fast as hell, had high defense, hit really hard, had multiple long range, fast attacks, and had an AOE attack that took 1/3 of the large area you fought him in. I had to change equipment to beat him the first time. Second time used Ancient King's Armour. 131 Was still tough though. Penetrator can be mildly hard if you are slow as well, actually. Less-so if you fight him with Biorr, because Biorr is nothing to **** with.

I always carried Black Turpentine with me for bosses weak to fire like the Leechmonger. Though oddly enough, the Valley of Defilement, despite being arguably the most annoying level, had possibly the easiest bosses.

Currently not in high school anymore. ๐Ÿ˜›

Aye the valley of defilement was the easiest but I think it was one of the most interesting mainly because pestilence and disease are excellent images for a "damned" world and Demon souls models it well. The last boss although easy (Vinland can be tricked and its not much to kill the lady) is pleasingly sickening due to the screams of those babies.

ok then the moral is that those girls were functionally retarded

That's an observation, not a moral. A moral would be something along the lines of "Do not be a teacher at a high-school having retarded students"

College?

EDIT: Hmm, how exactly does Demon Souls punish you if you die? I could look it up, but you guys could also tell me.

You lose half your max health bar, your resistance lowers and you get put back at the beginning of the level (some of the levels are damn long) unless theres a checkpoint but it can still be harsh. The enemies all respawn so it can be a pain if you either lose concentration or dont pay attension. Considering in later difficulties you can get one or two shotted anyway even with a high health bar having it cut in half can be game ending if youve not got stones to regen although I usually farm them so I make sure I always have one on important tasks.

edited due to ninja.

At this point I'll argue that a capable teacher would not have allowed things to get out of hand and could in fact have avoided it all if he merely calmly explained the situation. Which he did not and actually incriminated himself even more. Couple that with his not so stellar reputation and well...

Yesh. And I quite enjoy it. Especially the History games we play. Made me feel like Light. evillaugh

I don't know. Your post made it seem like the guy got a pretty darn raw end of the stick. While reading it I did think it was something that could be rather simply explained away. I'm not really sure why he's in such trouble for something so minor.

That's cause despite how bad a teacher he was, and he was a really bad teacher, he is a generally nice guy. And what happened to him was unfair. But, a competent person would have been able to resolve it without going to court.

Which when I got into college, there was another teacher very similar to David. And his luck was 10 times as awful.

Naturally. He could have also asked the students to whom he was chatting with, to state his words and his intentions.

~ Unless something went on that you did not know about, i.e. he actually explained what happened, but the School board did not believe him, to which I'd say that either your high school really was fvcked up, or he was believed to harbor ill thoughts towards certain students. srug

You want to feel like Light? Get a Black Book and write down the names of people you think shouldn't exist on the Planet.

Or just play Tennis against a really good guy. mmm
