F = ma is about as basic as it gets. All you do is plug in values.

1 ton = 907.1847 kg

So it's left to simple multiplication, and the resulting terms kg x (m/s^2) equal N.

The math is simple and even you should be able to check it. Where are your perceived errors?

I dont know how, but somehow you got 5 tons force>300 tons, which off hand is ridiculous.

However, maybe its the way I am calculating the Psi, because you see my Psi is 5 tons, your pounds per square foot is 5 tons, so....maybe you just have the per square feet and per square inch mixed up.

The newtons are 49619.9100083686 per square inch in my calc. So I dont know how your getting per meter squared. Again, mixed up.

Game math thread.

Done

I was thinking about at least renting those new Harry Potter games but from what's been shown in this review, I don't think I want to now:

Not really confident on the PSI stuff so GK may have a point for all I know.. or care /shrugs/

A Clockwork Orange is fun :V

GK is, indeed, correct.

Also, for ****'s sake, it's spelled FIGURE. Not a freaking hard word to spelled, holy crap. That has been grating on me during this entire stupid argument. Those little red squiggles under your words when you're typing posts mean something, don't just ****ing ignore them.

Don't waste your time with them, Nemesis, the first one was hilariously and almost unplayably bad, and I doubt the second is any better.

Wow! I could have sworn you were about to defend my points and not GK's! dang....

I dont have "little red squiggles" or any spelling support on this forum. Not sure what swearing and complaining about it will do.

The second one is two hours long, you mostly spam stupefy, you can't increase damage no matter how many times Harry levels up, the game plays like a repetitive shooter, and the boss fight with Voldemort is the worst one of them all. Don't worry, I'm not gonna play this.

I don't generally defend incorrect points, so yeah.

And just about every web browser has a built-in spellchecker now. And even if not..."figure" is not a difficult word to spell. It's not like you got "onomatopoeia" or something that is a legitimately difficult word incorrect.

When the first DH game came out we decided to give it a try one day at work just for the hell of it. We got through about half an hour of it before deciding it was not worth any further time spent.

The most amusing part was watching character's crab-walk sideways everywhere with their hands held out. It was just so bad 😂

I'm with Angry Joe on this one, a Harry Potter RPG would be metal as hell. I would play the shit out of that game.

Quick! Everyone come up with gameplay elements!

Instead of the normal stats you'd have stuff like Defence against the Dark Arts, Charms, Herbology etc.

Right, because 5 tons>300 tons is correct but I doubt its anything to do with how correct it is.

Its not about how difficult something is to spell, if I just touch type something out without care to how grammatically correct it is then I am bound to make mistakes.

A minigame where I'd get to kick Harry's ass in a duel would be awesome.

I'd kinda like to see how they'd sort you. I'd rather not be in Gryffindor. Probably a personality quiz of some kind. Hopefully a good one.

Only played the 5th one.. I think. Just another bad movie game.

Rewatching, first was as a youngling. Still deliciously fun ^^

Or they could have a tutorial level on the Hogwarts Express where your actions determine what House you'd be best as.

Though as an RPG, having your character have a set personality would make role playing hard I guess. Or incredibly interesting. If your in Slytherine and choose to help a bullied mudblood, that could lead to some interesting moments.

Or being to lazy to change it.. my excuse.

Sounds like whats in a Persona game.

Other houses could lean towards certain stats. Like offensive, defensive classes and such.

Then you suck as the game blows >( Now Spider-man 2, that was a movie game.

Must of been around 10ish.

Yup, sounds awesome! Griffindors would lean towards DATDA, which are the standard Stupify, Expelliarmus etc, Ravenclaws Charms/Transfiguration, more esoteric spells, Hufflepuffs Herbology, which would have a bunch of plant-like summons and other plant-based attacks and Slytherines would have Potions, which would be buffs etc.

As you level up you can upgrade spells from each class. And there could be specialisations, like The Dark Arts or really Advanced Dumbledore level stuff! And you'd have party members and everything. Hell, you could even buy equipment from Fred and George! Or a new wand from Olivander.

This game would be So Freaking Cool!
