Depends on the circumstances, obviously. Personally, I'm hardly some kind of monster who would hit a woman just because she didn't do the dishes or something. After asking her to perform a task, she would have had to have neglected to perform the task at least two times before I commenced with the beat down.
Why do you ask, out of curiosity?
Well personally I see nothing wrong with hitting a woman in principle, at all, as long as you hold the same standards for men. I do not go around hitting people, male or female, unprovoked, but frankly the concept of "not hitting a woman" due to preconceived notions of their "weakness" is more sexist than hitting them when sufficiently provoked.

It's in the same vain I think of the idea, that women should not be allowed active roles in professions where lives may depend on your physical aptitude, being more about cold irrefutable logic, than some kind of malevolent sexism.

Hmm, maybe I should give the Battle Network series a try. I've just played the Classic, X, Zero, ZX & Legends series. BN seemed a little too different, so I ignored it.
It's pretty fun. Teh gameplay is quite fast and strategic. And timing factors a lot into it.

I don't really want to hit anyone.
