Plaaaaaay iiiiiiit.
When it comes out, anyway.
And yeah, the elder dragons? May not actually be killable. Even their lieutenants are boss fights that support 100+ people at once, and those aren't major bosses. We won't know about the elder dragons themselves until we play the game ๐
Also, here's a view of part of Kralkatorrik's back from in the first game.

General, is that from Guild Wars?Wander's entire skill set is built on fighting things he has no right winning against. That's what makes him awesome. >:3
Odd that when he has no power, he can pwn things that should by all rights shit on him.
Yet when he becomes a vessel for Dormin, he can't take out a bunch of, at best, peak-humans.
Still, he is very awesome. Better climber than Ezio too. vin

Well, it's not out yet. It has no release date right now but current projections point to first half of next year, since they want to at least do closed beta by the end of this year (and say that they're still on track for this). ArenaNet is one of a very small number of developers that refuse to release something until it's ready, and they did well enough on GW1 that their publisher is basically like "Here, have our money, and take your time".
They're also putting a lot of work into making sure the game will run beautifully on current mid-range computers; I remember a comment from a dev on how they had been tracking down all of these old graphics cards to test how it'd work and run on stuff that's not necessarily up to date and top of the line.
A credit to perfectionists everywhere.. at least it'll make it worth it in the long run. Really hope it does end up running smoothly.. currently even youtube makes this thing lag >__>
Is GW1 that great then?

Puny little dragon. Warcraft has bigger stuff than that, therefore Warcraft is better.
Warcraft/WoW's dragons are tiny in comparison to these. Seriously, you can't compare them at all.

Youtube lags on my computer which otherwise works just fine. Youtube just sucks ๐ But yes, it should look awesome, and yes, GW1 is awesome.
Here's another view of Kralkatorrik from GW1...those huge spikes behind my character are part of him. You can see part of it on the map, as well.
(also forgot that I had been doing PvP last time I was on, and forgot to change my build...whoops ๐ )
I am very highly hyped on GW2, enjoyed the first one but the epic fights in this one will be amazing, however I do not see high hopes for something like a mile long dragon being a fight, possibly just its head or something.
Also Artificial Glory was probably talking about Warcraft lore dragons or something, that are not in WoW.

That's very much true. I wasn't talking about the dragons though. However, there are beings in Warcraft near which this mile-long dragon wouldn't even register as a blip on the radar.

Well, being as GW2 (so far as we know) is mostly about Zhaitan, I don't think we'll be facing Kralkatorrik, who is the massive mile-long one. Maybe in a later expansion or something.
Still, the Shatterer and Tequatl the Sunless are nothing to thumb our noses at - they're huge. Still bigger than almost any other MMO boss I've ever seen. And they're not major bosses. Zhaitan will also be pretty impressively huge.
Did you see the new trailer and videos from gamescom last week?
