His character arc was 'Was an *******. Isn't anymore.' ๐
Ooooooh interesting!
Edit: **** it, he doesn't even have a character arc. After he gets stabbed he just stops being an *******. And considering being an asshle was his only character trait beforehand he essentially becomes a silent protagonist. He has no personality except the players.
Originally posted by MooCowofJusticeBoth have a deep voice to make them sound cool, both are dark and edgy broading protagonist filled(Altair mostly on this part and it really depends on the batman). Both are made to be silent bad asses. Both are gitty type anti-heroes(again depends on the batman). Both are bland(depends on the arc of batman you are reading mostly but generally true).
Altair is absolutely nothing like Batman. Altair is amazing.
What you see as just an ******* was an incredible amount of arrogance that led him to misinterpret the creed, making him think he could do whatever he wanted. It isn't that he was just an *******.
As the game progresses he learns why the Assassins do what they do, because freedom for people is what matters. It isn't just "not an ******* anymore."
Then there's that past we don't know about that really interests me. And the future we do know of, him taking over the Assassins, changing their rules and writing the Codex Pages.
And then he proceeds to fight his way through a battlefield on his own to get to the King, defeats the last templar he knew of along with like a dozen other guys, and then goes and overpowers a Piece of Eden, on his own. No other Piece to help him out.
Altair >
Hell, maybe you don't care. I do. I much prefer him to Ezio, that for me is just some douchebag that happened to be led down a good path.

Batman used to be my favorite character of all time, ever, as of the last couple of years, I've soured on him.All due to BatGod.
It's not as bad as it used to be, thankfully.

I said depending on the version of him. More example to the Infamous Frank Miller incarnations of him.
You said "generally true". ๐

Bruce is just one of those people who's so damaged that he doesn't really know how to show emotion unless in extreme circumstances. Didn't stop him f*cking Catwoman recently though lol
You're mad to use Frank Miller as any kind of measuring stick, tbh, but yeah, I see where you're coming from.
