Considering Cloud's blade is about five or six times broader than a typical greatsword, 54 pounds sounds pretty believable.

It's not just broader.

The blade itself is much thicker than a normal sword.

Realistically it shouldn't be particularly sharp.

Realistically, you should shut the **** up.

5 times thicker and broader than a 10 lbs sword of its length would make it 250 lbs.
