It's certainly not among Disney's greatest creations. I wouldn't call it bad but...

Friends on the Other Side is one of the best Disney Animated Movie songs ever in the history of ever.

In case you had ever wondered; this is why I can't take you seriously.

Look at what the Spoony One got regarding SOPA.

Dear Mr. Antwiler:

Thank you for contacting me regarding Internet anti-piracy legislation, specifically the PROTECT IP Act and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). I appreciate hearing your views about these important pieces of legislation.

As you know, online piracy is a major issue facing the American economy as more and more digital creations, such as music, movies, software, and books, are moved online. The Internet, which has delivered so many benefits to our economy, has unfortunately also allowed bad actors to steal and sell these stolen works. It is estimated that our economy loses more than $58 billion annually as a result of online piracy. As part of an effort to fight back against these losses, Congress has introduced two bills, the PROTECT IP Act in the Senate and SOPA in the House of Representatives, respectively.
These bills are designed to help the government more effectively utilize legal tools that are already at our disposal to fight against online piracy and protect American intellectual property. If enacted, the legislation would allow the Department of Justice to notify a website owner that the government intends to pursue a court order for alleged illegal activities. Next, the court would have to determine whether the website has a significant use other than the selling of counterfeited goods. These basic protections are designed to provide due process protections to ensure legitimate websites are not at risk for inadvertent violations.

The PROTECT IP Act was passed out of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary and SOPA has been referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary on October 26, 2011. Please rest assured that should these bills come to the Senate floor, I will keep your views in mind. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts on this important topic. Please feel free to contact me regarding this issue, or any other in the future.

Sincerely,
John McCain
United States Senator

The thing is, about this stuff...last night GK and I were talking about how completely ridiculous their claim of losing ~$60 billion dollars a year due to piracy is. That money doesn't get lost - it just gets spent elsewhere. Someone not spending $10 on a movie ticket doesn't mean that $10 just vanishes into the ether; it means that they spent it on something else.

Also, there's this. Amazing.

Looks like Aura was right. This is pretty entertaining.

If it helps i don't dislike the games. The only ones I played were years and years ago. They were fine. But these characters themes lately....

Well let's just say I know where vacuum cleaners draw inspiration from for the extra suck of the new models.

Adding to that i would say 4 times out of 5 at least, that money didn't exist to begin with. I would argue a good amount of the time it's being done because there is no alternative. I know most of the people I was in college with downloaded stuff because they were broke. Okay I'm from the UK, but I cannot imagine that being so different, if at all.

I highly doubt they included such things into the claim, as it would make it sound much less impressive.

Yeah, it's pretty much in the same in the US. College students are the most prolific downloaders, because they have no money to spend anyway what with high tuition costs and all that.

Hollywood is losing money, sure. But that's because with cost of living and the current economy, luxuries like movies get cut out of the bill. The economy itself isn't losing money, that's just underhanded use of a buzzword to garner support.

And its not like Hollywood is lacking in money. To steal from South Park, it would be an awful shame if Christian Bale couldn't afford his new luxury jet this year. Shit, can you believe that he only got 10,000,000 for the Dark Knight!? Disgraceful.

I sense nostalgia bias.

MK9 is actually better (like, tons better) than all previous Mortal Kombats in gameplay. MKT had too many abusive or annoying glitches/bugs to even last me that long. Then again, I only had it on the N64.

Simply amazing.

"We're doing better than ever, but unless we gain dangerously complete control that could maybe change!"

lol, I know right?

Hmm.. Looks like the markup on SOPA changed the already terrible bill for the worse.

No way I can see this "SOPA 2.0" getting past the Supreme Court now.

Ah, if only the NDAA had gotten as much opposition as this whole internet censorship stuff. You know it's unusually bad when shit like this gets people like me to start paying more attention to politics.

Can you think of an instance where your favorite character in a particular work of fiction was beaten by/lost to your least favorite character in that said work? If so, who were the characters?
