On the whole Star Wars: The Old Republic topic, needless to be said, I disagree. Totally biased, for sure. You have some points I agree with, but also many that I do not agree on. Both existing in too great an abundance for me to care to reply to. In short, I enjoy the game. The gameplay is not my favorite in games, but in this little time that I have planet it, they have upgraded at least the responsiveness twice, to help you. I have seen more patches in these two months than games like WoW had in the first year. It has been two months and the end-game content has already been upgraded to please those ahead.
I will not make an elaborate post on how amazing TOR is, because I too think it has a great many flaws. I do however think that you guys are not doing it justice. Take that "camera man" quest example, while I have never done that particular quest, I have never done any quest like it. There has been extremely few quests throught the hundreds of quests I have done that I have actually felt worthless in. Exploited, maybe, abused, maybe, but not worthless. I have always felt that I mattered. On Light and Dark side, I suppose you are referring to a class that I have not played, because when I have played the two classes I have reached 50 with, I have every time but a handfew (And this is over a hundred times) times been able to tell why this choice is a Dark or Light choice. It has not always followed a consistent philosophy for my character, as in I have gotten Light-side points for an action of exact nature as one I got Dark-side points before, but I have both times understood the position behind why I got Dark- respective Light-side points. If your classes has had such bad designs in their choices and dialogues, I am sorry. I hope they remedy this. I know only this: I have not experienced it.
