I am nearly ashamed to call myself a gamer, the butthurt people are having over Mass Effect 3 is palpable.

Agreed, this is getting silly. It's just a video game, kids.

Edit- This is a great example of "mob mentality" though. I guarentee that most of the people angriest about this wouldn't be so mad if they weren't forum dwellers. Like, Polaski sent me a text saying "wow me3's ending sucked", and that's all she has to say about it. She's moved on to other games.

That's the mentality most of my friend's have, too. But then you have internet dweebs losing their minds. Why? Because people are like cattle in groups, so when you have a hundred to thousands of people all simultaneously stewing over the same topic, and vindicating each others anger, something as irerllevent as a video game becomes a huge deal.

So I take it that I should not rent ME3 as a video game to play? Okay then.

No, you should. Its a great game up to the last 2 minutes. Those two minutes don't negate the other awesome 35 hours.

Also I'm pretty sure EA was hated before ME3. But EA winning out over BoA is dumb.

Number one, watch your language.

Second, while I agree that it's silly to call EA the worst company ever over this, they are legitemately a horrid company. I'm on my ipod at the moment, but when I'm back home I can post some links about the way they treat their employees. Not to mention their habit of buying studios and then firing everyone.

They're certainly no BoA, but they are quite terrible. ME fanboys are definitely thinking that they're terrible for the wrong reasons. A half-assed ending sucks, but something had to be done after the leak, and frankly it doesn't harm anyone. Which many of EA's business practices actually do.

Oh? What leak? Never heard of it.

Apparently some major part of the story got leaked a few months back and they scrambled to change it. I'm not a ME fan so I don't know much about it.

But whenever someone talks about it, it's always about the ****ing Mass Effect 3 ending, or about on-disc DLC, or whatever, and the notion that they are nearly as bad as BoA was the funniest joke I've ever heard that didn't include Han Solo dancing to R and B music.
