At this point I don't think the high demand from EA doesn't come from the development cost, I think it comes from them trying to recover from their past **** ups with ToR and some others like Syndicate.Where's your artistic integrity EA?
They never had any.

I really don't see the problem with EA, mostly because I haven't purchased a game from them in years.
Yeah you need to do some research.
They are notorious for remaking the same game constantly with minimal changes each year, buying up studios and laying off the employees, driving formerly great franchises into the ground, doing all they can to nickel and dime consumers, they have some seriously questionable marketing practices...there was a big thing last year over their download service and how when you installed it it would scan your computer for personal info and then sell it off to third parties...
And they treat their employees like they're less than worthless.

Not really true. Extra Credits did this great video, where they show a great magazine article EA did when they first started out promising to be amazing developers and fulfill the potential of video games. Its pretty sad when they juxtapose that promise with the crap EA puts out now. And it really is an inspiring article.
YouTube video a good show case on what can partnering with EA can do to you.

There were one or two in the Smash community a while back, forget thier names now though.
It's kind of unfortunate. Girls not existing in the MLG environment is one of those unfortunate stereotypes that tends to support itself, like black people committing lots of crimes and not knowing how to read and eating shitty food.

Well I'll be kindly going back to my rock; there's cookies in it.
But on a serious note I'm suprised that EA conduct has been going on this whole time. The last time I remember playing a game from them was in 2000 and I really didn't pay attention to much of anything back then. Didn't know that Ea was such a dispicable company but now I'm at least aware that it happened; especially that DLC incident.

People still think it's cool to hate on Jennifer Hepler for no real reason?

Women tend to be scarce in things like MLG because of the way we're treated whenever we try to do any sort of online gaming.
If the guys playing weren't such ****ing douchebags 99.999% of the time, there'd be more women online playing games, and at higher/professional levels.
