I can understand where he's coming from, and think he actually makes a rather valid point. More than anything, though, I'm glad he admits that he's not out to piss off fans of the movie. I don't think he makes a single valid point. He's just 8eing a sno8 and going on a8out 'sophistic8ed storytelling' without defining what that is. I personally see Avengers as 8eing very skillfully told. No-one writes teams like Whedon does.
And even then, a film is no lesser for 8eing focused on pure enjoyment over 'sophistic8ion.'
Frankly, it's 'reviews' like th8t which m8ke me question why I'm still w8tching that l8ttle p8ss8nt!!!!!!!! >::::C

He does insult the fans lol. I'm not a fan of any of these guys in particular, I watched the movie, and I enjoyed it. They really weren't playing on my fanservice anymore than say the Dark Knight was. But when you say things like "I'm not wrong" then you are going to come off as a complete prick. That said, this strikes me as a review he made while in a bad mood.

Well he does mention the Dark Knight as a good example and if I had to guess he has probably heard people say it was better than the Dark Knight, so yeah rage and stuff.
It is better than the Dark Knight though so meh.

There's also the clear point he made that he didn't want to review in the first place. Really, if anyone's seen his previous reviews for movies with the characters and they've been bad, they shouldn't be surprised when his review of a team up movie is bad as well.
That said, I disagree with him completely. I can see why he might say the things he did, but I don't think he's right.

I honestly can't remember his reviews of any of the other movies. I know he liked Iron Man(I think?) and he hated the Hulk movie but it was the first I'd heard of him hating Thor and Captain America. Really would love to hear why.

It's good that there's a message beneath, but I think it may be too catchy for its own good in some ways. I've only heard it twice and it's already and ear worm for me. It'll likely polarize people more as time goes on.
