Except it does mean quite a lot for your argument or you wouldn't have clung to the idea it was a physical feat as long as you did. You do realize the massive differences, yes?
it's not a 'force of his swings comes from magical source', it's just straight up magical. Sephiroth can cut through steel, this is inarguable and no one cares, it's not a big deal or particularly high end strength feat, but you're trying to amplify Cloud's actual striking strength by
1. assuming that Sephiroth's best cutting feat is somehow related to striking force (it's not)
2. attributing this to Cloud somehow?
Sephiroth pisses around with Cloud all CISy and then Cloud limit breaks him. Again. In the middle Cloud does indeed cut through a few girders but that's, again, nothing Spider-man couldn't do given a sufficiently strong sword.
Cloud avoids some lightning, Link plays tennis with it, while also being physically more powerful, more durable than a chunk of concrete, and without Sephiroth's CIS.
