They've always seemed kind of.. useless, compared to dogs. Nto annoying useless small dogs either. Like Dobermans and retirevers and stuff.

Pet's aren't about use. They're about companionship. Dogs are great about companionship because food and a pat on the head is all they could ever need to be perfectly content. But cats are more sophisticated, fickle, interesting, funny, and ultimately very rewarding to keep. Plus, in my opinion, they're the spiritual successors to dragons, and I love dragons.

And I say all this with three dogs, two birds, several fish, and a rat.
