lmao, yeh in your little world they are, a game mechanic is something that works in gameplay but not in canon, something like damage values, titles such as "bosses" and balance.
So, like Spirit Wrack.
Gotcha.
a spell is not a gameplay mechanic, it is an ability
Actually, it is.
How many people here think Sephiroth destroying the solar system with Supenrova is valid?
According to the all-knowing burning thought, it's not game mechanics.

Care to tell us what a game mechanic is? Because if you educate us in the matter, we will know in future debates.
And BT is far from all-knowing shockyes

Anything that only works and is only shown during gameplay as in not in a cutscene.
RPGs are the best examples but there's also stuff like in RE2 where Claire Redfield can be slashed and thrown around by horror monsters but make all her wounds magically disappear with some spray.
Kain's magic spells qualifty as game mechanics.

no abilities are cannon son, thats why you are failing so bad, they dont have to be seen in story, all Kains spells, all his powers are canon, otherwise Pyron along with all of the DS and most characters in gaming would have their powers deleted if they do not have cutscenes showing them, this is not the case and you are dreadfully wrong
the gameplay mechanic however IS when for example Pyron survives having his soul ripped out by midnight bliss or a jedah move in Gameplay, or when charatcers are shot and survive if they do not have the power.

No they're not unless we see them in stuff out of gameplay.

I don't have a clue what you're talking about.
Pyron doesn't need gameplay. His impressive feats are seen in his endings.

And like how Spirit Wrack works...and how Supernova destroys the solar system.
Game mechanics are null and void and should not be used.
Anyway, enjoy the vid.
