I was joking anyway.FFVIII would be my favorite FF game...But then I played Disc 4. ๐
FFX overall is probably my favorite as well.
FFVIII was a good game...not perfect, the battle system was ridiculously broken...but then, yeah, disc four happened. And the plot went to ****ing hell.
I love FFX so much though. I've played it...SO many times.

Yeah, I know.Do they have the same English voice actors, too?
I'm not entirely sure but I think so. I've not watched either anime dubbed.
Originally posted by PeachI personally thought the battle system was fairly well done. Disc 4 made me doubt God though. Seriously. "THE POWA OF LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP WILL SAVE US FROM T3H TIME COMPRESSION!!!!!!!"

That was just stupid. ๐
Yeah, FFX was a great game. I really liked the Sphere Grid system, instead of powerleveling, I could just level up the attributes and abilities I wanted, and screw any of the crappy ones.
And most English Dubs of animes generally suck IMO.

Well, I've never been too fond of the ATB system, really. Especially with the fact that it was, in fact, broken - it didn't pause during actions or anything, which made it completely pointless more or less. At least that was fixed in the remake of FFIV. Also, the draw system was so completely BORING and made you waste tons of time fighting just to draw magic, and the junction system was just stupid. And I didn't like how monsters leveled up with you, it made leveling pointless.
...
I sound like Ush...but that side of games does fascinate me a fair amount.
I loved the Sphere Grid. It was a lot of fun to play around with. I also like the License Board in FFXII. Though good old-fashioned classes like in FFIII are also good. And as bleh as most of FFX-2 was (with the most broken battle system ever), I did like how they handled classes ๐
And about crappy dubs of anime...my favorite anime is Sailormoon. Enough said ermm There's little I'll watch dubbed.
Originally posted by PeachWell I liked Junctioning personally, mostly cause I could overpower my characters to super uber levels(which actually works against you when fighting Omega Weapon lol). I do dislike how they did not paused when I was selecting my attacks and such, that wasn't cool, some bosses are strong enough to kill you before you can even choose your move. Monsters leveling can be good IMO. But that's just my opinion.

The Sphere Grid is probably the best part gameplay-wise about FFX. Never played FFXII. Not sure why, I'll have to get that. I never finished FFX-2 for some reason. The best class-based FF game IMO is still FF Tactics. That game might actually tie with FFX for me.
Well since I grew up on DBZ, it is by default my favorite anime, which makes me feel like a noob. ๐
I mostly read manga. Cuts out the pointless crap filler. The only anime I can think of that is actually better dubbed than it was in the original Japanese was Yu Yu Hakusho. That dub was actually very well done.
And that's a big part of why I disliked junctioning - it made it too easy, and could also screw you over at an inopportune time ๐
I never actually played Tactics. I played part of Tactics Advance but didn't like it much, and have been told Tactics is far better. I was considering picking up Tactics A2 when it came out but decided against it.
FFXII is good, I never did finish it though. It's very different from the other main games. Though it's also in the same universe as Tactics ๐ FFX-2...yeah...you're not missing much by not finishing it. I refuse to acknowledge the existence of the ending of that game, it wrecks the end of FFX.
I liked DBZ when I was younger ๐ and I loved Yu Yu Hakusho, that was a great anime.
And manga are fun ๐ My Sailormoon manga I could probably sell for a few hundred dollars, as they're out of print and near-impossible to find now. However, there's no way I'm getting rid of that stuff.
I'm not really as into anime anymore as I used to be, but I still go to conventions and stuff, so...it's fun.
