I think Frame's tier thread was a good idea. Tiers are one of the more hotly contested aspects in fighting games and it was also a nice frame of reference. People like Satsujin and DarkC and a lot of the other Street Fighter/fighting game buffs would have things to discuss...

So it can go in the pre-existing threads for those games already. There's no need nor point to a separate one.

So you mean one for each game which will eventually just get pushed to the next page whenever someone posts? At least the trhead was made specifically for fighting game tiers in general, not just a discuss the game thing. That'd be like making a Wii, 360, and PS3 thread for each system as opposed to just a current-gen console discussion. Know what I mean, ma'am?

Most of those games have threads already. It's not at all like making separate threads for the individual consoles, and you know it.

And a post like that would get pushed to the next page if other people discuss. So? That's what happens. You think a thread like that would stay on the first page of the forum? Of course it wouldn't. It'd be dead and buried almost immediately.

If people want to discuss 'tiers', then they can do so in the discussion thread that already exists for that specific game.

Not to mention that, in all the time I've been here, I've never really noticed tiers to be a topic of hot discussion. Mentioned, occasionally, in individual game threads, but nowhere near enough to warrant a singular thread for tiers of all major games.
