You were the one who appreciated Lana's closing of versus thread featuring Akuma and Marvel vs Capcom version of Wolverine.
And by the way, about Dante vs Darkness...the fight seems more in Dante's favour- though the only light-related weapon in his arsenal is Beowulf. He has already faced creatures based on darkness\shadows (Nightmare and Doppelganger) and defeated them.
Though gameplay version of Darkness has some abilities that put it over comics version- transforming people into darklings, for example...
But that doesn't save Darkness from a timestop, ripping off a part of Darkness with Beowulf and a good hit to the face.
And your appraisal of Wolverine's defense to the SGS sucks. He'll be just a SPIRIT dude. He won't have anything to fight with.
With Wolverine's crimes and viciousness, he's extra-doomed when the SGS kicks in.
As for taking punches from The Hulk, significantly less than that has hurt him and still continues to hurt him. He's also been trounced easily by Hulk a few times now.
He's a street-leveller.
Akuma on the other hand can do close to top tier things like desrtroy islands, walk easily on the bottom of the goddam ocean and then destroy subs with just a single blow.
Wolverine would win that in my honest opinion...Adamantium skeleton > Whatever Bryan Fury's made of not to mention Wolverine's HF. Strength would be close to equal, although I think Bryan's somewhat stronger. Wolverine has him beat in speed. What else...oh yes, combat experience goes to Wolverine as well.
Against Yoshimitsu would be a greater fight when it's Wolverine being discussed..Yoshimitsu's most likely faster and Wolverine would have a very difficult time landing a hit on Yoshimitsu, and Yosh. may KO Wolverine in the end. I'm pretty sure Wolverine has lost or has been KO'd before but I don't exactly know how that happened. Also if Wolverine can wear down from fatigue he could lose that way also, but HF probably prevents that. One of my very first debates involved Wolverine being overrated to the point where he can fight and breathe in space, take ANY attack and survive and was invincible if the opponent didn't have some sort of formula to negate his HF, lol.

Regarding Wolvie vs threads...HF prevents him from being fatigued, I think. In the threads above we see the combinations of personalized Jet Kun Do based style (Dante's moveset with Ifrit and Beowulf also based on Jet Kun Do, as well as whole K's moveset), energy powers and speed advantage used on old Wolvie's ass.
