Yeah but Castlevania still uses the books/movie in it's cannon timeline to still make it part of the Dracula (Bram stalker) universe, that's only for Dracula though, i don't see why Alucard is not allowed.
But if you take LOI into account then GK is correct, since it gives Dracula his own persona as it were.

I'm not talking about who he could defeat (I couldn't care less about that). I'm talking about whether or not a specific character is allowed here or not. Which is determined solely by their origins.

Why should origins play a factor? If the characters have the same name and a similar background(though honestly, Myth Zeus and GoW Zeus are only similar at face value), yet have vastly different powersets, and as such in a vs. thread it would be totally different, why not allow them?

We've been over this so many times that I'm incredibly sick of the argument.
It's a game vs. forum. Only characters that originate in a game are allowed. Characters that originate elsewhere but are in a game are not allowed, unless it is determined to be sufficiently different from the original character to be considered a separate character. This includes mythological beings.
I don't allow them because it's easier than making one exception and having everyone whine and moan about other characters that aren't allowed.
