Check over contradictions? He can't even catch contradictions in his own movies. All he does is approve the over all plotlines and nothing else. He has also said that it is not official canon. There is canon within the EU, but it is not official SW canon. Just "this might have happened at this point".
When has he said it is not official canon? And saying "There is canon within the EU, but not official SW canon" makes 0 sense. "This might of happened at some point"? Lol, so if I make a newgrounds flash about Jar Jar Binks having buttsex with Padme, it would be EU cause it "may of happened at some point"?

If Lucas confirms it, yes.

Haha, I'm hearing really strong thunder and rain out right now. My family just went out on a picnic 😖

"When it comes to absolute canon, the real story of Star Wars, you must turn to the films themselves — and only the films."

"The analogy is that every piece of published Star Wars fiction is a window into the 'real' Star Wars universe."

(Steve Sansweet and Chris Cerasi)

"Anything not in the current version of the films is irrelevant to Film only continuity."

(Leland Chee)

"There are two worlds here. There’s my world, which is the movies, and there’s this other world that has been created, which I say is the parallel universe – the licensing world of the books, games and comic books. They don’t intrude on my world, which is a select period of time, [but] they do intrude in between the movies. I don’t get too involved in the parallel universe."

"I don't read that stuff. I haven't read any of the novels. I don't know anything about that world. That's a different world than my world."

"When I said [other people] could make their own Star Wars stories, we decided that, like Star Trek, we would have two universes: My universe and then this other one."

(George Lucas himself)

And then as for the "canon within the EU", there's different levels of it, depending on the source. IE a book or comic is considered higher canon within the EU than the events of Star Wars Galaxies.

GL has read many of the books, I know for a fact he read DE, liked it, and approved it. That quote must be old. Also, all that really means is that the films are the primary source of canon, but EU is still canon if it doesn't contradict movies.

Nope, what it means is that the EU is considered its own continuity.

Apple.

Lana, why would GL read DE, and then approve it's canonicity then?

It's because he didn't.
LOLZover

He did. But reading one comic book out of almost a hundred EU media doesn't mean he "reads the stuff".

He reads all the stuff. He just enjoys skimming through things carelessly every now and then.

Err...ok

1. It's thundering and raining hard as hell out right now.

2. The sky is pink.

Wtf? 😕

I hope you die 🙂

I was hoping Lana could save me...ya know...jumping into my screen and coming out of her Nintendo DS. 131

Yes GL did read DE, thought it was great, and approved it. I also hope you die.

I hope you get one-shotted by Sagat who would WTFPWN Pyron, Demetri, and the Living Tribunal with a simple thought.

haermm

Ganon pwns all of DS, SF, KOF, Tekken, SW, DBZ, FF, and God by blinking.

BlaxicanHydra will provide the evidence after these messages.

Ganon's weak against PIS type Poke'mon, Sagat has no weakness, so he's better.
