Respect Galactus!

If it was up to me I would look for the books to find the feats, I find it gives you more knowledge about the character and is overall more reliably to give feats. However, I often try to get feats from different characters to see if I ever want to make respect threads for them.

To say the least it would take me some time to complete a respect thread for Galan by myself.

I'm in agreement with that. For my scans, I usually post the pages that come before/after the actual feat showcased to provide a more complete picture/context.

Here are scans I have
Almost All of Sufrer's regular series (missing a few annuals)
All of Thanos' appearances
various FF issues
Galactus-related appearences in IG and Infinity War sagas
Galactus Origin
Some old Thor comics
Various what-if (what if galactus fought the avengers, what if thor became herald of galactus, what if SS didn't betray Galactus, etc.)
Recent appearences of note (Annihilation, Nova, 1985, fantastic four)

Though bran has a lot of the scans in general. ask him.

I have alot of galactus stuff. If a new thread on him is being made i cud contribute some stuff. Lord knows he needs some more respect on here.

Well, I'm going to see around for comic book appearances and post them here later on (issue numbers, book, etc.), to see exactly how much we have already uploaded and how much isn't.

According to Comicvine there are 300+ comic in which Galactus appears, here a link with the issue numbers -this is no exact science, since at times there are alternate Galactuses, cameos, reprints and errors-; so the idea is to dismiss as much issues with useless showings as possible and see how many uncovered issues remain.

If you have any of the issues above already, you can mention it so I search less.

Tenebrous if you can take care of the Annihilation, Infinity War and Thanos showings -and others that you may have lying around-, it will be great. Ultimate Thor and Ugrita, feel free to pick any other part of the showings to look for feats.

I also have all the SS appearences. So Bentley I do not believe you need to pour over those as thor and I seem to have all of them...unless of course you want to read them.

Also, are we making a new thread...this thread and the one bran made are cluttered in the fact that this thread is mostly discussion, while bran's occasionally has people comming in and disupting feats/debating. I think we should just make a new thread and start with scans right away, one big scan showing G in full profile, then more thumbnail scans in rapid succession. I could make the new thread if so. I believe Digi (or another mod, can't remember who) gave somewhat implicit approval.

Agreed in both accounts. If we post all the feats in a thread already it can be done progressively and if we ever want to order them somehow we would have them uploaded and stocked already.

Really that is such a stupid fight scene. Galactus having to actually dodge High evolutionaries blast and then one shotting him.

I don't possess most of the scans, so is up to Tenebrous and Ultimate Thor to put up the thread. I'll dig scans from the other respect thread to help build them. Its just a matter of not having people posting on it for a while so we can upload a bunch of scans at the start.

That Galactus respect thread, set the bar for a vary high standard. My respect goes to DC, I am vary much impressed.

Okay, lets do this: We will use this division already stated. And then we will pick from 15 to 20 feats in each category (fights will take more posts) and post them (feats can be described in more than one scan). The idea is to pick the most interesting feats for the beginning, fill the sections and from there we can show the other feats in other posts -it would take too much time to put most of the feats ordered-.

I suggest this sections:

- Story, bios, powers, explanations and statements about the characters.
- Offensive abilities (from psychic power, to energy blasts, using different energies, etc.)
- Non offensive powers (for transmutation, passing powers, cosmic awareness and others).
- Fights.
- Respect (his part in the hierarchy, statements about his power, references to fights off panel).
- Alternate realities (if there are many scans we can split this into other sections).

Before starting to post we can discuss which showings are a must include in each part, and once we build it we get the link together, we give them some format and we upload them at once.

If you want during the discussion about which feats should be posted at the start you can show the scans, that will give us the upload address to build the thread later and will be useful to discuss the feat (this is still a respect thread, I think that uploading and discussing feats is in order).

Thoughts?

Edit: Also, we could pick some badass pictures just for show, in case you have a favorite depiction or artist.
