Anyways I don't think of Hyperion of a Superman Clone anymore, especially because in alot of his incarnations he is so evil.

I just don't know 😬, maybe if they didn't feel the need to rehash the character so much because he sucks so bad, then someone/anyone could have a clue about what his actual origins are.

There's nothing wrong with retcon characters IMO.
