Admission: Leonheartmm approaches the subject with far less pretentiousness and empty talk than those films did.
the only circularity is found in the definition of SELF AWARENESS. which means awareness through self, of the existance of yourself. other than that, there is no circularity. please elaborate if there is.
and i do not see any psuedo philosophical material, its all very easy to understand, if we use logic to come to terms with ourselves as logically biased entities, which can not use all forms of unbiased logic in practical life. we can easily have an ethics system based on logic.
Re: So, how long before incest becomes morally acceptable?

Not trolling here, but rather I'm honestly interested. There is not one logical reason why incest is morally wrong. Take, for example, a brother and sister who are in an incestuous relationship. They're both older than the age of consent, and they use methods of contraception--let's say vasectomy, hysterectomy, condoms, and the pill. There is virtually no chance of them ever creating a child, so there will never be the pitter-patter of little Quasimodos lumbering about the house one day.
So, how long until it's acceptable and the bans on intra-family marriage are lifted?
Speaking out of just logic, I wouldn't be surprised if incest does become acceptable sometime way way way in the future. Looking at things like group marriages being accepted in some places...it's pretty easy to believe anything goes these days. Personally, I hope it's never accepted. 🙂

HK47 is also a sock whose posting style you have been emulating recently. Coincidence?

I find eating celery gross.
Even with penut butter on it?
I find incest not disgusting, but something I would never come close to doing. That doesn't mean I'll stop other people doing it or am against it. If two siblings want to have sex with eachother, let them get on with it, just as long as I get to watch my favourite TV shows, I'm happy.
Pretty much - if they are adults, behind closed doors and they wont be having children then that is their business.
Will it ever become morally acceptable? No, I can't see that happening.

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with it as long as they're not having kids.

Declaration: Talking like this is fun.
Statement: It is probable that rape is considered bad because people who were raped suffer greatly from it.

I disagree. What if a child is born from the rape, who in his/her later years brings piece to the world?
