Child porn's EXISTENCE has to be tolerated and accepted, not the act of what goes on during the making of it. Like, we have to accept it will always be around, and that it exists, we don't have to like it obviously. Tolerate the existence of the act, not the act itself. I don't think rape is excusable, I will never accept the idea of a woman being forced into intercourse, however, I have no choice but to accept that it will always happen.
I'm not saying "Hey, if you see it happening don't try to stop it.". I'm saying that children WILL be molested, always, just like there'll always be rapes. My point is; I don't have as much a problem with anyone who decides to jerk off to kiddie porn, or any problem at all, as I do with the thing they're watching. Sucks that a child had to be molested for it to exist, but it's better a guy with an attraction gets off to that than doing it himself.

Many people probably masturbate or think of things, sexually, they'd never do in real life for whatever reason, this includes paedophiles. How many people here have ever genuinely wanted to kill someone? The only difference between you and a murderer is they took the step too far by acting on it. Possessing the feeling is fine if nobody is hurt.

Is not defining a relationship as being between two adults similar to defining it as a man and a woman or two non-related people?

I think I've heard of it but I didn't know the actual name for it. As far as I'd go would be banging some of my sisters (save one, I just couldn't do it). I know, it's weird that I'd bang six out of seven of them because one I couldn't even imagine doing.

Homosexuality is now tolerated even though is is unnatural, child molesters get a couple of years in jail and some even go on about it being normal, infidelity is on the rampage in the world and now incest? Hopefully not or there will be a lot of disable people running around. It's just the idea that if a guy decides to do something with a family member in a consentual and safe way, he perhaps doesn't need to be treated like he has a contagious flesh-eating virus, and it can be understood as a preference that is odd at best. Tolerating things that are going to happen anyway is a means to shut down abuse toward preferences that do not require abuse. Granted, people who enjoy child porn won't come forward because them enjoying it would probably be grounds for arrest, but as long as they do not act upon the urges in a way that harms a child directly, it's softening the blow.

Good post. The arguments against incest are far less a moral one (why shouldn't someone love a family member physically). They are more a genetic one Haemophillia and other recessive problems become much more likely.

Bah. That's what I was talking about with the Slippery slope of DOOM!!! madness. Homosexuality has been around since, well forever, with varying levels of acceptance. And we are still here.
Incest has been around since, well forever, and as xmarksthespot pointed out has a long history dating well back to ancient times when it was seen as the right way for bloodlines to continue. And we are still here.
Child molesters? I haven't seen the laws change when it comes to them recently.
And what infidelity has to do with it is beyond me.
