Yeah I can see where the Bane love comes from. But let's face facts he was only propped up from Knighftfall, after that he's been just another villain , and Bat's has had little problem taking him down since then.
This is off topic, but since Ra's got mentioned; how come Ra's and Ivy never teamed up, i mean their aims were pretty much in synch weren't they/?
I've always kind of pictured it like this (not counting people like Joe Chill)
Main Villains:
1. Joker
2. Two-Face
3. Riddler
4. Ra's al Ghul
(Catwoman, if you count her, but I wouldn't)
Second Tier:
1. Scarecrow
2. Bane
3. Poison Ivy
4. Penguin
Third Tier:
1. Mr. Freeze
2. Clayface
3. Killer Croc
4. Mad Hatter
But everyone has their own opinions on who is a bigger threat and so forth. I think the only one people can agree 100% on is that Joker is #1.

Well, personally, I like Two-Face better as a character, but yeah, I agree, Joker is the most important... Bane may have crippled Batman's body, but Joker crippled his psyche with Jason Todd (I still consider him dead, despite what DC Comics says nowadays) and Barbra Gordan...
And since we're putting them into "tiers", then mine would be like this...
First Tier:
1. Joker
2. Two-Face
3. Ras Al Ghul
4. Penguin
Second Tier:
1. Bane
2. Riddler
3. Scarecrow
4. Catwoman
Third Tier:
1. Black Mask
2. Mr. Freeze
3. Poison Ivy
4. Clayface
Many Tiers later...
Very Last Tier:
1. The Spook
2. Calculator (he was also a Green Arrow villain)
3. Killer Moth
4. Crazy Quilt 😄 Gotta love Silver Age Camp
