Squirrel

One syllable or two?

My sister and I almost threw down a couple years ago when we had this debate. It was intense.

I say one.

Two...

😛

They're trying to take over the world, you know.

But say it really fast....nothing that can be spoken that easily and quickly should be 2 syllables. It's only if you unnaturally elongate the word that it sounds like 2.

Squir-rel.

I can't wait.

I say it's one.

Just kidding. It's two.

This is stupid to begin with. Squirrel has 2 syllables no matter how fast or slow you say it. Squir-rell.

I can say it in one....it's actually easier than saying it with two. I can't help it if your vocal patterns are impaired.
