You don't appreciate music to a great degree anyway then, if it needs to be classified.

Europe has great Grindcore bands, but the states have their share too.

I noticed that all the Euro grindcore bands I've heard usually use voice modifying equipment to make their voices sound more gutteral, and beast-like, as I like to call it. But of course, not all do.

I definetly recommend Rompeprop, a perfect example of a band that uses voice modification. Probably one of my favorite Grind bands.

Some other Grind bands I like are Tu Carne, Splatterhouse, Gruk, P.L.F., Murder of Crows, Cyness, Superbad, Death Crue SS, Defect Defect, Poppy Seed Grinder, Spasm, and Necrogore.

As far as grindcore goes all that is worth listening to is Napalm Death and early Carcass.

If you feel that you need more garbage Pig Destroyer, Assück, and Cephalic Carnage are probably the best outside the first two.

Though personally I think they all suck.

Pig Destroyer, wow.......that brings me back. They were the first Grind band I'd ever heard, and in a way, they drug me into the void of "core" music.

They are musically amazing for just having drums and guitar.

Cephalic Carnage are nice, they are very technical, which is a nice breath of fresh air compared to most grindcore bands I've at least heard.

I've seen Napalm Death twenty-five times and they never tire me.

I'm on first name terms with 'em. Top class blokes. I'm always swapping books with Barney.

Oh really? That's so neat!

I get to know a lot of people from underground grindcore bands, but not actual well known stuff. That's awesome.

I find most of the extreme genres house the nicest people, not only Napalm Death but also the likes of Akercocke, Rotting Christ, Obituary et. all. I've been fortunate in being able to meet a hell of alot of peeps.

It's relatively easy to meet death metal artists... I spent a good hour chatting with Sharlee of Arch-Enemy the other day.

Napalm Death after Bill Steer left is hardly of note imo.

Odd. I always see them sitting outside, smoking and whatnot. Lots of them walk around during opening acts and whatnot.
