So I went grocery shopping and have several bags. It would have taken me 4 trips in my current condition to get all the groceries up to my place. But there was a guy (20 something) pressure washing the concrete. He saw me limping around and asked to help. He carried everything up for me. When I thanked him I tried giving him a $20 and he refused it.

i have sympathy for those who have body injuries
how did you hurt you knee and how long where you waiting for?
i rolled an atv back in 2011 (don't use your leg as a kickstand for machines), broke my leg, tore my pcl and jammed my ankle. i was in the hospital for a month and nursing home for 3 months (i couldn't go back home because of steep stairs so i was forced to move while i was injured). it also took me months of rehab and my leg is still no where to being close to 100 percent.
it amazes how quickly you americans have access to health care if you have the money or good benefits. here, you have to wait half a day just to see a doctor at the hospital. sure, health care is free here but you need to wait forever.

I waited 12 days to get an MRI. It took less than 2 days for them to schedule me and get everything done. I would have been in surgery today if necessary. I paid for everything myself. I was even prepared to pay for the operation myself. Luckily I just have to rehab it for a few weeks. And I was prescribed a leg brace that has made a huge difference. 👆

I would rather have the free health care for all citizens. I have great health care benefits, but many Americans are dying because they don't have access to basic health care.

the best part about canada is the health care other than that, it's a very expensive country to live in.
in canada, the only health care thats not covered are meds and rehab, you still need to pay for any other extras (unless you have a plan that covers this stuff). the basics are covered for free.
