Well I don't know for sure what Face had in mind, but here's a few idea's I've been kicking around in my head since I heard about the idea...
1. Rather than have it in the team thread(which would become confusing very quickly) why don't we have the thing at the House of Zod? I can have ill set us up a team forum where we can do whatever the Hell we want and we can have the whole thing there without having to worry about interference from socks and trolls.
2. Before we try hosting a tourney for the entire forum, why don't we have a Team Authority "mini tourney". Hosting a tourney is a difficult undertaking and if we're wanting to make a good impression as a team we're going to need all the practice we can get. What's more, the mini tourney will give us a chance to iron out any kinks and spot any potential loopholes before the "official" tourney.
As an added twist, we can declare the winner of our mini-tourney the Team Authority Champion and set the final match of the tourney as them vs the winner from KMC for the title.
3. Amalgams are fun but they're also really complicated and prone to loophole abuse by power mongers like myself so why don't we simplify things. Rather than giving people control of a typical amalgam, give THEM the powers of an Adaptoid and then just regulate what level of characters he/she is allowed to copy. Since it'll be "darthgoober AS an adaptoid" rather than "darthgoober controlling *insert character* with *insert different character*'s mind" it will eliminate the "in character" argument that seems to plague 80% of tourney match's.
And if we do the mini tourney champion system we can combine it with the adaptoid set up to create a Mortal Kombat style premise to the tourney. Various KMC members(whoever enters) get kidnapped and taken to a far away land by the Team Authority champion. Each are subjected to a process similar to that of Yelena Belova's where they're given the powers of the Super Adaptoid. They then choose x number of characters from y level tier who's powers they want to copy for the tourney. After battling one another to determine who's "worthy" the finalist squars off against Team Authority's champion for the fate of the KMC vs forum. If the challenger wins he becomes the champion and KMC is safe for another day. If our champion(or one of our competitors) wins, the vs forum falls and Team Authority "takes over".
But that's just something I cooked, feel free to ignore any/all of it if you'd rather do something else.
