I consider what Galactus said just tough talk. Phoenix trashed Terrax and destroyed his feeding equipment. Galan said that she was mighter than any being he has ever encountered and her power FAIRLY rivals his meaning =.

I know he was weak but so was Rachel. She didn't even have full acess to the Phoenix Force power so both were sub-par so to speak. The fight lasted pages but most of it was Rachel dodging Galan's attacks. When Rachel finally did attack it was a 1 shot blast to the face. Yes I know both were weak but it was still a 1 shot none the less.

Correct but I'm pretty sure it was mentioned somewhere in Uncanny X-Men #481 that she didn't have but a portion and not the total power because it would be too hard to control. Can't recall exactly so u got me on that 1.

It happened right before the last scan u posted. The 1 with Galactus down on hands and knees. The blast look like in went right into Galan's eye.

Galactus was trying to separate the PF from Rachel, and in doing so was killing both Rachel and the Phoenix Force, because according to Roma (Omniversal Guardian) the Phoenix Force and Rachel were one.
The Stars began to turn off, because in it's Natural State,
the PF is the sustanance of the Stars.
The Phoenix Force also ignites new Big Bangs within the Multiverse.
(although this may have been retconned)
In anycase this is the purpose Phoenix existed for,
and so this purpose was called the "Eternal Pattern"

He's obviously not at his peak all the time, but if the Doc brings his A game, nobody can touch him.
He stole so much power when he beat Shuma-gorath that if he'd come directly back to our realm his mere presence would have destroyed the universe. He had to come home in lots of tiny steps with a super-nova like detination of power each time he moved to a lower-powered plane. If he could drink Shuma dry on its home turf, there's no reason he couldn't do something similar to the PF.
Don't forget he also fought a draw against an Infinity Gauntlet-wielding Adam Warlock, and has at times become the avatar of Eternity. Check out the Strange respect thread, it's all in there. Phoenix has more hype, but Doctor Strange has had tons more top-end feats over the years.
