Thanos saw him coming and had a force shield up. Get that through your thick skull.
You also managed to miss the entire point. It had nothing to do with cheap-shotting, it's the fact that Drax was specifically designed and engineered to kill Thanos. No one else at Drax' powerlevel could do that. It's the same with Tyrant since he was able to absorb Galactus' energy. Being able to absorb biospheric energy doesn't mean that Tyrant is stronger or equal to Galactus, it means that his powers work well against his.
