If it were me and those guys told me off in front of Wal-Mart, I'd counter by stating that "conglomerate America", for all of its faults of marginalizing small businesses, infuses the economy with steady cash flow and numerous jobs at various levels....something that small-time stores can never say.
And if they're so against the idea of commercial success in our country, one of the earmarks of an advanced civilization, I'd encourage them to start riding bikes everywhere, making their own clothes, and giving up their electronics.
I'd also defy them to name for me products in Wal-Mart that are any more standardized than what they buy from equally "conglomerate" chains that simply don't have the negative stigma attached to them that Wal-Mart does. They can't, because they're as much sheep as Wal-mart customers are...they just delude themselves into thinking otherwise.
Freaking Losers.
...
...yes, that's right, I've thought about what I'd say to someone if they challenge me for shopping at Wal-mart. These things concern me more than they should.
😮
and also 😎 because I'm proud of inane stuff like this.
