The gem is the trump card. Annihilus has a good edge in power, but the soul gem is very hard to counter.

Adam can erase an entire Universe with the Soul Gem, (he'll do it if necessary)
Quantum Bands are overmatched here fellas,
don't get me wrong the Bands are still no joke,
but the infinity Gems are, well, ... yall know.
