I think they underestimate the size speed and power in these asteroids.

A massive chunk of rock bombing along at mach 300 isn´that easy to stop no matter what you hit it with, especially if its Metallic.

Have you run the calculations? If you have, did you include a decaying orbit variable with that calculation? (That probably wouldn't matter on this small time table/orbit 😄)

Other than mixing up English and metric units...NASA calculates things to extreme mathematical precision. (Sheesh...that's a hard thing to sell now that they have that on their record....*sigh*.)
