KMC Team Battle Zone Discussion thread

Ok so I was looking through the old team threads and came up with idea(it has already been approved by illadelph, just so no one worries about that). How about we start having matches between members of the teams here on KMC? The matches would be similar to tourney matches, but the participants would be limited to using the character they represent on their team, and the matches would come about by a challenge between members rather than random draw. There would be no post limit, but the matches would only last 24 hours to keep them from being long and drawn out affairs that end up getting boring and they'd be judged by members of unaffiliated teams to keep them fair. It'd just be for fun and ego, but we could keep a detailed win/loss record to promote bragging rights for the participants.

So what I'm looking for is opinions/suggestions to help make this thing fun for everyone.

I understand. This is all strictly voluntary, no one HAS to accept a challenge and I plan on making a point of discouraging people from being a pest to those who don't feel like a match.

I don't like anyone being challenged, or called out. Change that rule, and Team Authority might enter a few people....

Thought so...It's just there are some kind of battles going on all the time, some kind of tourney...And also it's bit unfair since some of the guys are having LT and The Spectre for their characters...

But that kinda HAS to be the system because this isn't a tourney where everyone just signs up and is at a similar level. Some people characters are guys like the Punisher and some guys are the Silver Surfer so it's best if the match ups are handled between the participants. That doesn't mean that people have to be dicks when they're proposing a challenge though, and if anyone starts to get out of line they won't be allowed to participate anymore.

I understand, that's why there's no way this thing is starting before the current tourney is over. People can just have a match whenever they both feel like it and are so inclined.

Also the fist rule in this thing is going to be no BS matches, so if someone wants to have Spectre as their character then they'll just have to wait for a match with someone else who has LT.

That's right, you're restricted to whatever character you represent on your team.

So it's basically a way of doing the VS argument in a slightly neater and more organized way? Other than the spamming/interrupting in the vs thread?

Yep all tiers are allowed. But people aren't allowed to have ridiculous match ups like Punisher vs Superman or Batman vs the Silver Surfer, you have to challenge people that are actually on par with your character.

Yeah but this will be different. If anyone steps out of line they won't be allowed to participate, problem solved.

ok darthgoober , I'll discuss it with my team, and give you a list of team members that will be interested in this. What I don't want is members that are not in the list being called out, or challenged.
