True, I think the One instance where she did control a solar wind was retconned though. In Classic X-Men...it's been re-written into lightning...instead of a Solar Wind.Uncanny #99(June 1976)
Retcon takes place in Classic X-Men #7(March 1987)
Claremont wrote both issues.
HOF already set you straight about this:
Plus, 66 issues later we have Storm referencing her power over the Solar winds
http://img373.imageshack.us/my.php?image=spacelightningml2.jpg
And also in Unlimited 1 she says she's mistress of the Cosmic Storm(perhaps the Solar winds and more)

Well since you asked so nicely...I think I'll respond.
Nope she/he didn't actually, Classic X-Men has always been and is canon...and has a huge impact on current canon. That particular issue of Classic X-Men had a huge bearing on Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw and their positions at the Hellfire Club. Lourdes is still dead in 616 Continuity. And that was also the issue where Emma and Shaw became White Queen and Black King respectively. Claremont went to a lot of trouble to re-write the story years later so for all purposes that particular feat was retconned.
Uncanny X-Men #166(February 1983)
http://www.uncannyxmen.net/db/issues/showquestion.asp?fldAuto=1078
Classic X-Men came after this as well. Again...she may have referenced it...but she's never performed the feat on panel...because like I said before that particular feat was retconned.
Cosmic Storm doesn't have to equate to Solar Wind.
Edit* Do note that UXM#166 comes out in 1983 and the retcon occurs in 1987...so anything that occured in #165-166 would be redundant since it came out years before the retcon.
As for the Galactic Storm feat...a Storm fan user pointed something out to me. Storm absorbed the energy of the Galactic Core, similar to how she channels the Elemental Energy of the Earth whenever she uses her powers. The power in the Galactic Core > Earth....and she used that to kill the brood embryo. No particular type of Energy was mentioned...which means she didn't manipulate any Stars, she harnessed its elemental energy like she does with the Earth.
I'll stop hijacking the thread...now...that's all that was needed to be said. Sorry Illagrok. 🙁
He wouldn't reference her power to manipulate it in 165, and he wouldn't have her doing things like absorbing millions of Stars which is>>>>>Solar winds.
It completely undermines the retcon.
You are correct.
Cosmic Storm doesn't have to mean Solar Winds, it can also mean this:

That's all really wanted to say.
Good day.🙂

Forgot something:
She never actually manipulated the energy of the stars there. Whatever energy she summoned, it was the same type of energy she always harnesses whenever she manipulates the weather on Earth....(As the scan states). The Galactic Core >> Earth...therefore there's more energy. So she never manipulated any stars there. She's always harnessing that energy whenever she uses her powers. In short, she summoned "power" from the Galactic core like she summons it from the Earth whenever she uses her powers.

Okay...now I'll stop. I'm not even part of this KMC team. 😖hifty:

In any case you can have your thread back. 😛
BTW You read New Warriors right? What powers did they give Beak? Just curious because I see good things with Wondra and Tempest.

New X-Men #42 was such a good issue. They were looking to see who was the youngest mutant alive...apparently Franklin Richards and Angel/Beaks children don't count. The Cuckoos turned out to be 2 years old. 😛

Yeah, I enjoyed it.
Anole looks like he's ready to take on anyone now. I like x-23, but Hellion looks a bit too dark in my opinion.

Yea I was shocked to find that I liked X-23 after reading Target X...she doesn't hide her intelligence...like Wolvey does.
Yeah Anole and Pixie are some pretty good additions to the team. I'm actually starting to find Pixie a little annoying though. Long hair doesn't suit Julian...he reminds me too much of Wither at the moment.
